I’m a native Tennessean. I was born and lived my first thirty-odd years in Chattanooga. I love Chattanooga, it’s a beautiful place and I have lots of family and good friends there. But, as I’ve been prayer walking through Concord for the past year I have also grown to love this city and even consider it ‘my city’.
God works on our hearts in funny ways. I think my love for the city has grown because I’ve taken the initiative to intentionally pray for the city. I think God makes my passion grow as I pray for the city, it’s businesses, leaders, and citizens.
I think it works this way for all things. If you want to have a passion for Concord, pray for Concord. If you want to have a passion for missions, pray for missions. If you want to have a passion for the youth, pray for the youth. You get the idea.
Feel free to join us as we prayer walk every Wednesday morning. We meet at the Capital Center for the Arts at 7:00 am and walk for about an hour.
