Alternative Energy

We’ve heard it said that if all you have is a hammer, then the whole world looks like a nail.  Here’s a case in point.  We have a problem because we import so much oil from the volatile Middle East and we’re paying out the nose for it.  Oil companies continue to rake in record profits, though, and seem to be the ones that come out on top of this situation.

So, who do we turn to in order to find alternative energy sources?  We ask the oil companies to do this!  Do you really think they’re motivated to find an alternative to their record profits?  Do you think they want to find a cheap energy source for the little guy?

I believe we need to charge Gen-x’ers and Gen-y’ers and even younger generations with finding alternative energy.  We need to encourage them to dream.  Let’s charge folks who are too young to understand the limitations of physics to dream up an alternative energy source.

Our kids are smarter and more talented than any previous generation.  Let’s dare them to find an alternate to oil, get out of the way, and see what happens!
